DOLPH

Last night, I went back to the hood and chilled with the niggas out there to ease my mine and my hurting heart. I drank and got high until I felt like I was really floating.

I remembered letting this chick named Kelani up here to fuck but my dick wouldn’t get hard for her. No matter how wet her mouth was, my shit just wouldn’t react to her. She cursed me the fuck out and left. Blaming it on the weed and alcohol, I had passed out on the couch after locking up behind her.

After three is when I woke up and checked my news app on my phone to see if they’d caught the people who’d slaughtered that party. What I did see was a candlelight vigil being held at ten tonight.

I had missed calls from my mom and EJ’s mama. Rubbing my hands down my face, I wasn’t ready to talk to either one but I had to confront my mama. How the hell do I tell my aunt that I left my cousin at a party and he was killed moments later? She wouldn’t do shit but blame me and I was already feeling fucked up.

Fifteen minutes in the shower, I stepped out and dealt with the rest of my hygiene. My stomach caved in and grumbled. Then the headaches began. I was hungry and needed to eat. As much as I didn’t feel like getting out and would rather stay in and UBER EATS something, I couldn’t order a fat ass deer.

Now fully dressed, I grabbed an extra pair of clothes. I didn’t want to waste time finding the muthafuckas that were behind the massacre. Conri knows something and I was on my way to get it out of him. There wasn’t time to waste.

Instead of running in broad daylight, I chose to drive like a normal human being. I drove without stopping, hoping someone at the mansion would have cooked breakfast.

As soon as I pulled up, I could smell the scent of food wafting in the air. I parked and hopped out, taking long strides towards the front door. The door opened by itself when I approached it as if someone knew I’d be arriving.

My stomach continued to grumble repeatedly as I weaved my way towards the dining room area. When I approached the room, the large table was crowded. Everyone stopped talking and their attention fell on me. The only faces I recognized were Conri, Ashina, and bitch ass Lobo. There were a few kids who smiled and waved. I hit them with a head nod. Conri stood and approached me, turning towards the table.

“Is this…” an older man began, pointing at me with a shaky finger.

“Yes,” Conri nodded. “This is our new alpha of the Silver Dawn pack, Dolph. He’s the son of Roan.”

The room gasped and eyes were big as saucers. A woman hopped up and began to fix a plate, I was hoping for me. She placed it down at a spot next to Ashina.
